Life Planning Through 2035

Most people don't put much thought into their day to day lives. They go to work, pay bills, spend time with their family, and deal with situations as they come up.

For others, this can work for short periods of time, but failing to plan for long term, even if there are adjustments along the way can end up with a bad mental health situation. The day to day stuff happens automatically, but it must be prodded to veer in a certain direction for a persons life to change. Planning becomes very important even if the day to day will be pretty similar for a period of time.

Someone may want to switch jobs, so they look for something interesting and find job training. They have to integrate the job training into their day to day for some time, then their done and they have new day to day things going on because of their planning. Somethings don't have to be planned so specifically. If after the job training, there is too much free time each night, different things can be explored, and a selection can be made, that then gets integrated into the day to day without much planning.

When looking for relationships or friends, it takes time and planning to find places where there might be people interested in or open to new friends. This includes getting ready, showing up, sharing, and listening. A lot of other things then fall into place. It depends if you get along, and everything went well or if there were disagreements right from the start of the relationship.

My life plan over the next 10 years will be very similar to my life before the recession unless something drastic changed. I'll be looking for project based work, mostly virtual or remote, open to business deals, and open to hiring people or referring out work. This part will be very similar, but the work I'll be looking for is going to be more scientific and for more long term projects instead of quick turnaround work and short term task lists. Although, I'm unlikely to turn down work if we can both agree on requirements and come to agreement on costs.

I think everyone is required to have more work/life balance and I will continue to explore hobbies, interests, set aside time to not work so hard, and make sure that I'm exploring my own personal development and not setting aside all my energy towards work.

These next two years will be lots of fun, as everyone puts their plans together and shares their vision for their own lives, and how that fits in with the overall group. Looking forward to starting the year and seeing what sticks, and what still needs room for improvement. Either way, it should probably turn out fine.
